Delsie Mae Compton Frederick, 72, of Danville, died Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Edmonton, Ky on May 25, 1947  and was raised by her grandparents Tilford and Corine Cawthorn.  She graduated from the Kentucky School for the Deaf in 1967 and is a member of the Deaf group at Calvary Baptist Church.  Delsie worked at Centre College for 20 years and enjoyed the Deaf Senior Citizens in Lexington.   She loved dogs and dolls. She is survived by her loving husband, of 34 years, William \'Bill’ Frederick; two sisters, her twin sister, Elsie (Jimmy) Glass and Connie (Edward) Dickson; also four step-sisters in Virginia and a step-brother in Indiana. The memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Monday, June 24th at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.  Rev. Ernest Martin will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Carol Murphy, Arlene Thomas, Rhonda Bodner, Debbie Martin, Penny Osborn and Dawn Calbert.  Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. there will be a COF Ritual at 2:45 p.m. prior to visitation.  Memorial donations are suggested to the KSDCFI-Jacobs Hall Museum, 303 South Second St. Danville, Ky.  40422.
