David Lynn Vernon, 73, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather died heroically on March 7, 2025, while trying to save his son. Born on August 10, 1951, in Danville, Kentucky, to Joyce Vernon and the late David Vernon. He lived a life dedicated to his family, friends, and community, always there to help when needed. David is preceded in death by his father, his brother Charles Bradley “C.B.” Vernon, and his son William Bradley “Brad” Vernon.

David was a man of many passions. He cherished fishing, golfing, and spending sunny days at the beach with his family. His love for sports extended to supporting his children and grandchildren during their athletic endeavors. David found joy not just in his leisure activities but also in working with his hands and savoring good meals at local restaurants, often shared with his loved ones.

David is survived by his devoted wife, LeAnn Vernon; his children, Lynnle Vernon and Eva Vernon (Tyler) Boling; his grandchildren Will Vernon, Sophie Vernon, and Brady Vernon; his mother, Joyce Vernon; and his sisters, Lana Leber and Paula (John) Bodner and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on March 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City, Kentucky with Bro.Paul McFarland officiating. Before the service, a visitation will take place at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Tyler Boling, Tony House, Zach Walton, Bryan Bodner, Mike Vernon, Will Vernon, Brady Vernon, and Craig Vernon. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Shelton, John Bodner, Bobby Jo Potts, Jason Pruitt, and Marcus Young. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

This has hit me so hard, I have known him all my life,he could make me laugh 😆 so hard my belly hurt and so sore the next morning, I could write a book about about David, but there is not enough room,there will be another David Veron all I can say he will be missed,Lee I love you ❤️ and Rita I love ❤️ you, I have no words to express how I feel,God Bless this whole family 😢 and God bless Brads family 😢😢😢
