David Belcher, 74, of Junction City, died Sunday, August 21, 2022, surrounded by his family in Danville, KY. He was born May 7, 1948, to the late Clarence Belcher and Elizabeth Chambers Belcher. He worked for the Junction City Water Department and farmed at Happy Valley Farm and other local farms. He was a member of Harris Creek Baptist Church. David was a perpetual tinkerer who was always on the go and constantly engaged in projects that he needed to get done. He was always working tobacco or doing something to help others. He enjoyed the racetrack, camping, and caring for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers; Oden Belcher, Charles Belcher, and Allen Belcher; as well as his sisters, Ruth Ann Boyd, Judy Baker, Deloris Belcher, Frances Pendygraft, June Herring, Hazel Gordon, and Mary Alice Martin. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Greer Belcher; his daughters, Daphne Belcher, Regina Belcher (Ron) Ward, and Kimberly (Jimmy) Goodlett; his grandchildren, Danielle (Timmy) Quisenberry, Lance White, Desireé White, and Trey Ward; his great-grandchildren, Dre’Ana White, Cruz White, Devoni White, Da’Chelle Quisenberry, Camdyn White, and Phoenix Ward; and many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City with Rev. Ronnie Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be Sammy Boyd, Richard Greer Jr., Jason Spears, Steven Spears, Sammy Caldwell, Clarence Belcher, Johnny Murphy, and Lee Douglas. Burial will follow in Junction City Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
