Darold “Sonny” Miller, a dedicated family man, passed away on September 8, 2024, at the age of 84. Born in Redfox, Kentucky on May 9, 1940, to the late Cassell and Belle Miller. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patsy Hanks and brother James Miller. Sonny was known for his passion for watching westerns and his involvement as a former member and Deacon of First Baptist Church. He also found great joy in fishing and coaching softball and basketball, leaving a lasting impact on those he mentored.

Sonny was a loving husband to Sue Miller and a cherished father to his son Steven (Mary Ann) Miller and daughter Tabatha Lynn Miller (Joseph) Nenninger, his grandchildren Joshua Miller, David Miller, Padraig Nenninger, Eireanne Nenninger, Pol Nenninger, and Maitiu Nenninger, great-grandson Zane Miller, and his nephew Michael Hanks.

A Funeral Service will be at 1 pm, Monday, September 16, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville, with Rev. Tim Mathis officiating. Visitation is at 11 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where military honors will be provided by the United States Army.

Sonny’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family will deeply miss him.
