Clyde Jackson, 90, died Saturday, March 9, 2019.  He was born in Bryantsville on December 3, 1928 to the late William and Beatrice Sparks Jackson.  Clyde was a graduate of Perryville High School.  He was a farmer and the founder of Caverndale Farms which started with only 100 acres of land.  He was an Ag Credit Association Board Member from 1973 to 1991 and Chairman from 1979 to 1991; a member of the Kentucky Seed Improvement Board, the Boyle County Cattleman’s Association, the American Seed Trade Association, the Independent Professional Seed Association and in 2018 he was named the Master Conservationist, Cooperator of the Year by the Kentucky Conservation District.  He also developed Jackson’s Hybrid Seed Corn and Caverndale Brand Seeds.  Clyde and Betty loved to travel and enjoyed wonderful adventures all over the world. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Ann Thompson Jackson; three daughters, Patricia J. (Morris) Stewart, Jenny J. (Tim) McCoy, Brenda J. (Barry) Welty all of Danville; six grandchildren, Christopher (Heather) Stewart, Brooke (Neal) Brown, Matthew (Misty) McCoy, Casey (Tinsley) McCoy, Brett (Vanessa) Welty and Lee (Laura) Welty; nine great grandchildren, Coleman Stewart, Keenan Stewart, Adalyn Brown, Anslee Brown, Dax Brown, Ryley McCoy, Aikyn McCoy, Ava Welty and Anisten Welty. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.  Rev. Tommy Valentine will officiate.  Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Brooke Brown, Christopher Stewart, Neal Brown, Matthew McCoy, Casey McCoy, Brett Welty and Lee Welty.  Honorary pallbearers will be Caverndale Farm employees.  Visitation will be 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.  Memorial donations are suggested to Boyle County 4H/FFA Youth Investment Sale, 99 Corporate Drive, Danville, KY  40422 (make checks payable to Boyle County 4H Council) or Lexington Avenue Baptist Church Capital Campaign, 339 W Lexington Ave, Danville, KY 40422. Funeral Service:  1:30 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019, Lexington Avenue Baptist Church Visitation:  4 p.m. - 8 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019, Lexington Avenue Baptist Church Burial:  Bellevue Cemetery
