Clarence Adams

Clarence Eugene Adams, 91, died on July 14, 2026. He was born on April 15, 1935, to
the late George and Effie Higginbotham Adams in Somerset, KY. Clarence worked
primarily as an electrician, first as a lineman for the RECC and later in building
maintenance for Danville Independent Schools. He was a master vegetable gardener
and crappie fisherman. He was an excellent cook and built his own custom grill on
wheels for large gatherings and family reunions. Other than smartphones and modern
TV’s, he could fix just about anything. Clarence was a member of Danville First Church
of God and was an Oleika Shriner with the Lexington Temple. In addition to his parents
Clarence was preceded in death by his daughter Cyndi Curtis and a brother-in-law,
James Acey.

Clarence is survived by his son, Blaine (Kathy) Adams, son-in-law Larry Curtis, Sondra
(Gary) Horseman and Alexis (Nick) Fleet whom he thought of as daughters, sisters,
Pauline Acey and Lois (Russell) Goff, brothers, John Adams, Millard “Deebo” (Connie)
Adams, and Tommy (Sue) Adams, and many other loving family members.

The funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Danville First
Church of God (3220 Harrodsburg Road). Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Danville
Memorial Gardens (4627 Stanford Road). Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30
pm prior to the service.
