Chris Jackson Griffin, 73, of Danville died surrounded by his family on April 24, 2024. Born on September 24, 1950, in Danville, KY, to the late Joe Delmar Griffin and Lyona Howe Griffin, he was also predeceased by his brother Joe Willis Griffin.

Chris lived a life filled with love for his family, always putting them first. He had a passion for driving his Peterbilt longnose. When not behind the wheel, he could often be found watching drag racing or his favorite western movies in his spare time.

Chris is survived by his five children – Christopher Tony (Lindsay) Griffin, Ryan Scott Griffin, Shaun Keith Griffin, Christy Lynn Thomas, and Christopher Jackson “C.J” Galloway, his significant other Faye Rogers, his grandchildren Joseph Pierce, Jonathan Pierce, Jacob Pierce, Seirra Griffin, Terry Thomas, Shannon Thomas, Cody Jervis, Kelsey Presley, and his great-grandchildren. He was a dedicated brother to his sisters, Nickie (Kenny) Thompson and Sheree (Danny) Kidd, and his nieces, nephew, and cousins.
Chris will be fondly remembered for his unwavering support and love for his family, and his passion for trucking. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Rev. Duane Orange officiating followed by military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps and the American Legion Caswell Saufley Post #18.
