Charles Lawson, 83, of Lexington, Kentucky, died on September 24, 2026. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on September 5, 1943 to the late Edward Lawson and the late Opal Taylor Price.
Charles dedicated his life to serving his community as a proud member of the Danville Fire Department where he retired and later was an employee at Centre College. A distinguished veteran, Charles honorably served in the United States Marine Corps, exemplifying the values of bravery and commitment that defined his character. He was a devoted member of the Church of God in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
He is survived by his beloved spouse to whom he was married 35 years, Linda Lawson, his stepson, Shonie Brotherton, his brothers, Mark Price and Larry (JoAnn) Lawson, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

I have known Eddie since I was nine years old. Lived beside his grandfather, Grant, Taylor, and his uncle Ballard Taylor on White Oak Road in Junction city. We rode our bicycles together and swim at the little collie swimming hole. Later on we hunted together. Going to miss you buddy. last time I seen you was when we ate with You and Linda at Texas roadhouse in Lexington

So sorry to hear about Uncle Edward’s passing. I know Tyler, Meagan, Vanessa and Ashleigh will miss their pawpaw. Now he’s in heaven with his sons Rick and Chuck, his sister Peggy and brother Randy. So sad to think they are all gone.
