Celesta M Lawson

Celesta M. Nevius Lawson, 88, died November 15, 2021 in Danville. Born September 26, 1933 in Boyle Co. to the late Floyd Todd and Myrtle Curtis Nevius, Celesta was a member of the Indian Hills Christian Church. She was also a member of the Parksville Homemakers Club. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother and spending time with her family. Celesta was a huge supporter of the Billy Graham Ministry. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Barbara Cox; three brothers John Nevius, Davis Nevius, and Calvin Nevius. Celesta is survived by a daughter Alycea Pittman; a son Marty Lawson; six grandchildren; Whitney Pittman, Tyler Pittman (Merideth), Rachel Barnett (Stephen), Sarah Cranford (Brian), Rebekah Johnson (Jason), and Adam Lawson (Jessica); and four sisters; Dessie Rigney, Shirley Brown, Linda Stevens, and Betty Cook. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday November 17, 2021. The Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice.
