Calvin Cecil Hutchinson, 78, died Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was born in Lincoln County on January 29, 1941 to the late Paul Russell and Opal Tankersley Hutchinson. Cecil was a graduate of Danville High School. He was a faithful member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Cecil married his beloved wife, Jolene, 57 years ago on July 7, 1961. He was owner and operator of Gold\'n Guns Pawn Shop and Hutchinson\'s Body Shop for 20 years. Cecil restored two antique cars, a 29 A Model Roadster and a 35 Chevy Sedan. He was a certified scuba diver and a licensed pilot. Cecil owned two different planes. He was a black powder enthusiast and built two black powder guns. Cecil was a story teller and a man of his word. He was a proud husband, father and paw. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Anne Calvin Hutchinson Haake and a grandson, Paxston Scott Haake. He is survived by his wife, Jolene Williams Hutchinson of Danville; a grandson, Parker William (Claudia) Haake of Raleigh, North Carolina; a brother, Paul Stuart (Marsha) Hutchinson of Danville; two sisters, Carol Prater, JoeAnn (Crit) Barnes of Danville; two sister-in-laws, Marijane Yankey of Danville and Lois Taylor of Asheville, North Carolina; a brother-in-law, Landon (Alice) Williams of Stanford and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Rev. Basil Hall and Rev. Ernest Martin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Parker Haake, Harvey Brumfield, Denny Branams, Derrik Hutchinson, Farris Mason, Bob Miller and Bernard Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will be David Williams, Evan Hutchinson, Johnny Williams, Ray Williams, David Senn, Bernard Lester, George Smith, Marty Ryan, Mark Brown, Barry Horne and Tim Linox. Private burial. Visitation will be 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice or Lexington Avenue Baptist Capital Campaign Fund or charity of choice. Condolences to your family and your lovely wife, Jolene, who has been a family friend for well over 75 years. You are resting well now completely void of pain and suffering. Goodbye Cecil.   8. I remember Cecile as one of the \”great people\” of Danville. I first knew him after I got out of the Army in 1969. I had a minor fender bender on my car and someone told me to \”Go see Cecil.\”. I did, and the rest is some of the best history and memories that I have of a wonderful man. I will miss you Cecil and my Blessings to your family. May God comfort all who are in sorrow at this time. andy bryant
