Carolyn Peppard
June 3, 1951 ~ May 25, 2020
Carolyn Frances Vaught Peppard, 68, died May 25, 2020 at Casey County Hospital. Born June 3, 1951 in Boyle County to the late Robert Morris and Thelma Preston Vaught. Carolyn worked at the Dollar Store, and as a fast food worker for, Druthers, Hardees, and Taco Tico. She loved the lottery, Marlboro cigarettes, kids, and animals. While not perfect she had a big heart under her tough exterior. She was always making sure others did not go without. She always said God will take care of us, and somehow, she always did. She said that is something her daddy taught her if you have more than you need you always share with people in need. She was so smart and quick witted, and she would not hesitate to stand her ground. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Jessica Lynn Hammons; her granddaughter, Sophia Murphy; her brothers, Charles Vaught, James Vaught; and her sister, Barbara Carter Coppage.
She is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Michael Murphy) Hammons of Middleburg; her son, Kenneth “Kenny” Maddox, II of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren, Trevor Hammons and Jasmine Murphy; one sister, Laverne Byrd of Danville; and one brother, Donald Vaught of Moreland.
