Carolyn Rose Cutter

Carolyn Rose Ledford Cutter, 70, died October 30, 2021. She was born January 26, 1951 in Norwood, Ohio, daughter of the late Howard Edward and Willene Price Ledford. Carolyn was the Assistant City Clerk for the City of Lancaster, and a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and ran Slo’s Dairy Dip Restaurant. She loved to cook and feed others and was known for making the best fried pork chops and fried chicken. Carolyn would slap your hand if you touched her food before it was time to eat. She taught her kids and grandkids to cook, bake, and enjoyed crocheting, dancing two-step, and decorating for all holidays. Carolyn loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, James Lee Cutter, Sr.; three daughters, Stefanie (Jerrod) Elam of Junction City, Jackie Cutter of Junction City; and Jody (Robbie) Mattingly of Junction City; two sons, David Byron McQuerry of Junction City, and James Lee Cutter, II of Junction City; eleven grandchildren, Casey Galbreath, Cheyenne Elam, Desaray (Jacob) Bowman, James “Tee” Davenport, Tiffine (Dennie Martin, II) Jones, Jerry (Shatoniah) Jones, II, Jonathon McQuerry, Daniel McQuerry, Jesse (Nikki) Mattingly, James Tyler Mattingly, and Jake Mattingly; eleven great-grandchildren, Kingston Jones, Roselynn Jones, Rennick Bowman, Devron King, Cloe King, Dennie Martin, III, Austin Jones, Dominic Jones, Creed Mattingly, Case Mattingly, and Ella Mattingly; and a brother, Randy (Linda) Ledford of Crab Orchard.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. JR Fields and Rev. Jolene Bailey will officiate the service. Burial will be at Junction City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Jones, II, Jonathon McQuerry, Daniel McQuerry, Jesse Mattingly, James Tyler Mattingly, Jake Mattingly, Devron King, Jacob Bowman, Dennie Martin, II, Austin Jones, and Kingston Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Galbreath, Cheyenne Elam, Desaray Bowman, Tiffine Jones, Rennick Bowman, Dominic Jones, Cloe King, Roselynn Jones, Creed Mattingly, Case Mattingly, Ella Mattingly, Sara Cummins, Zeb Murphy, and Briana Moody. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Stith Funeral Homes in Junction City. So so sorry to hear a about Carolyn. I have fond memories of her and Mom drinking coffee and solving Junction Citys politics…. Carolyn taught me how to bake bisquits and make white Chicken Chili! Aunt Carol will be missed by all Who knew her. Her smile was always beautiful and welcoming and she knew how to light up a room with it. She was one of the most fun ladies on the planet and always made sure everyone was comfortable in her presence. Condolences to all who knew and loved her.

Stephanie~I only had the pleasure of meeting your sweet momma twice. On both occasions she treated me as she had known me forever and was so welcoming to me.
