Brenda Brown
May 26, 1949 ~ July 21, 2024
Brenda Ray Brown, passed away on July 21, 2024, in Danville, KY. Brenda was born to the late Robert and Ruby Bradley on May 26, 1949, in TN. Over the years, she filled her home in Danville with the beauty of gardening and houseplants, the warmth of crocheted creations, the joy of music, and the creativity of her art.
She leaves behind her family. May Brenda’s spirit live on through her creations and the memories she shared with her loved ones. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness. She never met a stranger and was always complimenting and lifting up everyone she passed by. Even her doctors, therapists, aides, and nurses would “fight” over whose turn it was to see her when she was under their care. They’d go to lengths of making sure to visit on their off time, they’d say just to see that smile and squeeze in a hug. She was a light that everyone wanted to be around.
Brenda’s love for her family, especially her role as a devoted Nana, was unparalleled. She continued to crochet, sing praises to the Lord, read her Bible, make beaded bracelets, thumb wrestle, and color in bed with her grandchildren in her final weeks, a testament to her dedication and passion. She will be deeply missed by all who know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 – 4 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home, with Words of Remembrance at 4 p.m. The family invites all those who knew and loved Brenda to join them in honoring her memory.
