Bobby Ray Day, 78, died February 7, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born December 9, 1941 in Whitesburg to the late William Riley and Sarah Elizabeth Hall Day. Bobby served in the United States Army. He retired from UPS as a driver. He is predeceased by Billy H. Day, Helen Virginia Maggard, Ethel Irene Hall and his sister-in-laws, Sylvia Ray Sturgill and Wanda Faye Day.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Day; a daugther, Lisa D. DeRousse and a special daughter Anita Kinley; two grandchildren, Amanda Lynn and Tiffany McCowan; two great-grandchildren, Marley Ray Hanekom and Ian Rylee Hanekom; two sisters, Ruby Jean Howard of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Mattie Evadean (Glenn) Webb of Whitesburg; a brother, John Q. Day of Whitesburg; two brothers-in-law’s, David (Millie) Banks and Ercel Sturgill of Fairborn, OH.
Visitation will be 4-8pm, Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Graveside Service will be 1:30pm Friday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors by the United States Army and Caswell Saufley American Legion Post 18.
