Bill Engle

William “Bill” Engle, 70, of Danville, Kentucky, died September 23, 2026. He was born on November 30, 1955, to the late William T. “Pete” and Viola Leffew Engle. Bill is predeceased by his wife, Debora Bowman Engle, and a sister, Brenda Engle.

Bill worked in construction with B&E Builders for many years and was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers with his kids and sitting on his front porch. He also loved spending time with his beloved wife, Deb.

He is survived by his son Jeff (Ashten) Johnson, his grandchildren, Makaylee Honaker, Makennah Johnson,  Brandon Johnson, Sierrah Loré, Landon Johnson, Stori Johnson, Karlee Gowins, and Corbin Pelley, great-grandchildren, Miah, Madelynn, Emerie, Kyren, and Sawyer, sisters, Patsy (Danny) Steele and Peggy (David) Freeman, and mother-in-law, Mary Bowman.

A visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on September 28, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on September 29, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction with Rev. Jr. Fields officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Johnson, Landon Johnson, Brandon Johnson, David Honaker, Mark Freeman, and Rod Satterly. Burial will follow at Junction City Cemetery.
