Beulah Gatherwright

Beulah Dee Gatherwright, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024, in Danville, KY, at 82. Born on September 29, 1941, in Fleming County to the late Toney and FloraBelle Dugan. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 47 years Michael Gatherwright, and her siblings Jannive Lawrence, James Dugan, Billy Dugan, Mary Gilbert, Wilma Mason, and Toney Dugan, Jr.
Beulah was a kind and patient soul, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was deeply devoted to her family, and adored her granddaughter, MaryCaitlin, with all her heart.
Beulah dedicated her life to her craft as a skilled basket maker and was very involved with the local craft guild. Her talent and passion for creating beautiful baskets left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Throughout her career, Beulah worked as a retail merchandiser with JC Penney, where she shared her creativity and warm spirit with those around her.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Denise (Danny) Cassidy and Melissa (Tony) Rolph, and her cherished granddaughter, MaryCaitlin Rolph, her sisters-in-law, Virginia “Zip” Dugan, and Evelyn Dugan, her brother-in-law Wayne Mason, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation and funeral service to honor Beulah’s life will be at Aberdeen Baptist Church on June 15, 2024. The visitation will begin at 12 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will be held at Hietts Chapel Shelton Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
