Barbara Welch
September 30, 1956 ~ December 17, 2022
Barbara Jean Robertson Welch, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2022. She was born September 30, 1956, to the late Roy Jr. and Betty Jean Robertson. Barb was one of the most loving, kindest souls you could ever meet. She was a fashionista, enjoyed bargain shopping, and going on trips with her “Golden Girl Tribe”. She loved to cook and no one ever left her house hungry. Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her granddaughter, Cherish Cian Welch.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Bruce M. Welch; two daughters, Tutti Welch and Tay Welch; seven grandchildren, Elijah Ford, Trinyte Welch, Dominique Ford, J’Lahni Welch, Gideon Trumbo, Richard Norris and Nevaeh Norris; two great-grandchildren, Kai’len Blaine and Avayah Lee; her sister, Sandy Robertson of Danville; two uncles, Billy (Margaret) Meeks of Florida, William Robertson of Waynesburg and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2022, at Hebron Lakeside Church in Stanford, Kentucky. Rev. Vola Brown and Rev. Gary Yocom will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.
