Aubrey L. Sivis
December 2, 1933 ~ December 22, 2023
Aubrey Lee Sivis, a beloved member of the Danville community, peacefully passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 90. Born on December 2, 1933, in Mt. Sterling, KY to the late Raymond Aubrey and Emily Pieratt Sivis, Aubrey was a dedicated family man, a respected businessman, and a pillar of the community. He is predeceased by his wife Jennie Fitzpatrick Sivis and his brother Rev. Edward Sivis.
Aubrey led a full life as the owner and manager of the Greyhound Bus Station, Sivis Pawn, and Sivis Appliance Shop in Danville, KY. Known for his warm heart and compassionate spirit, Aubrey touched the lives of many through his business endeavors and his unwavering commitment to serving others.
Beyond the business realm, Aubrey found joy in his family, particularly his children and grandchildren. He treasured every moment spent with his daughter Anne (Wayne) Westerfield, his sons Ray (Vicki) Sivis and Aubrey Sivis, and his daughter Emily Sivis. Aubrey shared a special bond with his grandchildren, Justin Ray (Randi Johnson) Sivis, Leigh (Jorge) Lopez, Amanda (Aiden) Orihuela, and Arian Sivis, and great-grandchildren Chase Lopez, Charleigh Lopez, Journi Sivis, and Westlyn Sivis who were a constant source of pride and love for him.
A faithful member of First Christian Church, Aubrey proudly served as an Elder Emeritus. His dedication to his church and his unwavering faith have been an inspiration to many throughout the years.
Outside of his work and faith commitments, Aubrey had a passion for UK basketball, faithfully cheering on his beloved team. His enthusiasm and love for the sport brought joy to those around him and created shared memories that will be cherished by all.
Prior to the service, the public is invited to pay their respects during the viewing at First Christian Church, starting at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023, at First Christian Church, with Rev. Lon Oliver officiating. The burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
