Ann Quinn Kerbaugh

Ann Quinn McClellan Kerbaugh, 95, died December 19, 2022, surrounded by her children. She was born June 23, 1927, in Springfield, Kentucky, to the late Edgar S. and Mary Isabel Simms McClellan. Quinn attended St. Dominic School and graduated from St. Catherine’s Academy and St. Catherine’s Junior College. Quinn married Glyn D Kerbaugh in 1951, living first in Louisville and then moving to Danville in 1955. Quinn was a faithful member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church and will be remembered for her devout Catholic faith. She marveled at the beauty of God’s creation and carried a deep conviction for serving those in need. She was especially devoted to her family and enjoyed every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a natural at making everyone she met feel like family with her kindness, compassion, support, encouragement and love. As the Kerbaugh kids were growing up in Danville, Quinn made sure the doors were opened wide for neighbors, classmates and friends to gather in a warm and welcoming home. She encouraged family and friends to achieve and contribute, but above all to have faith and pray for others. Quinn was a lifelong learner and fierce supporter of education at all levels. She encouraged her children and grandchildren to go on to get advanced degrees, but to also find their calling and pursue their own passions. She was equally blessed with the best of friends and will be remembered fondly for her overthe-top St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and her clever sense of humor. She lived each day with the hopes of making the world a better place, best embodied by the words to one of her favorite songs: “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.” Quinn is preceded in death by her husband Glyn D Kerbaugh, Sr., and her daughter Mary Charlotte “Yotty” Kerbaugh. Quinn is survived by her children: Glyn D “Binky” (Anne) Kerbaugh of Danville; Shoun Kerbaugh of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; Jean (Terry) Crowley of Danville; Ben (Judith Adams) Kerbaugh of Seattle, Washington; Michael (Marie) Kerbaugh of Williston, Vermont; Richard (Mindi) Kerbaugh of Danville; and Ann (Bill) Greisner of Lexington, Kentucky. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Mary Quinn Ramer (Jeff Fugate), Simms (Jennifer) Kerbaugh, Martha (Daniel) King, Julia (Albert) Leggett, Katy (Brandon) Freeman, Katherine (Michael) Beiting, John T. Kerbaugh, Ryan Kerbaugh, Richard (Katherine) Crowley, Charlotte Crowley, Caroline (Drew) Thomason, Alex Kerbaugh, Leigh Kerbaugh, John K. Kerbaugh, Abby (Luke) Tibbitts, Alexis (Will) Kirk, Will Greisner, and Lucy Greisner; Her great-grandchildren include Winston Fugate, Charlotte Fugate, Wolfe Kerbaugh, Wren Kerbaugh, Eliza King, Ben King, Hazel Leggett, Matthew Beiting, Kate Beiting, Miles Kerbaugh, Pierce Kerbaugh, Rose Crowley, Bruce Crowley, Christopher Thomason, and Ari Thomason. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon, December 30, 2022, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Anthony McLaughlin officiating. Visitation will be 4 PM – 7 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
