Alice Crown

Alice Broughton Crown, 87, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Danville. She was born in Independence, Ohio on May 13, 1929 to the late George Stellar and Clara Stephan Broughton. She was a graduate of Ohio University, and went on to a career as a Medical Technician. Alice attended Centenary Methodist Church. Alice loved to sew & knit, and enjoyed teaching these skills to others. Throughout her life she traveled to all 50 states, and 13 different countries. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Herbert Wayne Crown. She is survived by one son, Stuart Allan Crown of Reston, VA one daughter, Kathy (Ernst) Crown-Weber of Danville, KY, a sister, Virginia Broughton Hamm, four grandchildren, Jason Allan Crown, Andrew Crown-Weber, Stephan Crown-Weber, and Cayle Crown-Weber. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in Danville, KY. Officiated by Rev. Tommy Valentine. Interment will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
