Albert Luster McQueary, born December 1, 1947, passed away surrounded by the love and memories of his family and friends.
Albert was the son of the late Aubrey C. McQueary, Sr. and Wallace Irene Luster McQueary. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Marie McQueary; his son, Barry Dale McQueary; his brothers, Hubert McQueary, William Edward McQueary, and George McQueary; and his sisters, Opal McQueary, Deva Bottom, Audrey Foulk, Diane Heinly, Pauline Tyler, and Effie Hamner.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Ann Schlenker of LaGrange, and his brother, Clayton McQueary (Liz) of Campbellsville. He also leaves behind his children, Bartley McQueary, Alan Johnson, Terri Kent (Jack), and Traci Wilson (Tony); his grandchildren, Ashley Wilson, Ryan Wilson (Tiffany), Jenna DeRousse, and Cole DeRousse; as well as many additional grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
Albert was a graduate of Boyle County High School and a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army. After leaving the military, he dedicated many years to serving as an officer at Northpoint Training Center, where he eventually retired.
Albert was a gentle, loving, and kind-hearted man. Above all, he treasured the time he shared with his beloved wife, June, and the many special moments spent with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and appreciated the simple joys of time spent outdoors and with the people he loved.
Albert was well-liked and deeply loved by many. His kindness, gentle spirit, and love for his family will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be from 12:00am to 2:00pm on September 2nd, 2026 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. A funeral service will be later that day, September 2nd, 2026 at 2:00pm at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Officiating will be Donald Mudge and burial will be held after the service at Junction City Cemetery.
