Renita Faye Cox

Renita Faye Cox, 70, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, in Danville, Kentucky. Born on January 24, 1956, in Danville, Kentucky, Renita was the daughter of the late William Dewey Johnson and Mary Simpson Johnson. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce Ann Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, and Lonnie Johnson.
Renita was a graduate of Boyle County High School. Throughout her life, she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked as an accountant and spent many years employed with Matsushita, The Advocate-Messenger, and later retired from Wilderness Trail Distillery in Danville. Above all else, Renita loved her family deeply and selflessly. She unconditionally loved her children and grandchildren with everything in her and devoted her life to caring for those she loved most. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. She also adored her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, whom she loved as her own. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, and her kindness, laughter, strength, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, John Scott Molen and Samuel Blake Molen; her grandchildren, Skylar Teague, Mayson Molen, and Pearce Molen; her great-granddaughter, Wyatt Ivy Teague; her longtime partner, David Cress; her sister, Janie Grant; her dear friends Pam Phillips, Vicki Vernon, and Kathy Shelton; and many other close friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2026 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday 18, 2026 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Burial will follow at Junction City Cemetery.

She was a great person….loved her so much …have some great memories with her.
