Judy Pitts Hargis, died on December 27, 2025, surrounded by her family. Judy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who brought love and joy to all who knew her. She cherished her family and treasured the time spent with them, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Judy was preceded in death by her son Robert Jackson, her husband William Hargis, granddaughter Jennifer Hargis Knies, great-grandson Elijah, her sister Connie Winkle, and her brother Archie Pitts.

For over a decade, Judy dedicated her heart and soul to caring for others, most notably for Helen Lanham, whom she shared a special friendship. Her nurturing spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

Judy Hargis will be dearly missed by her family and friends. As they gather to celebrate her life, they will remember the love, kindness, and warmth she shared with everyone around her.

Judy is survived by her children Patty (Brad) Murphy, Ginny (Paul) Justice, and Chrissy (Tim) Lamb, Adam Hargis, Stevenson Hargis, Chester Hargis, Danny (Sissy) Hargis, Billy (DeAnna) Hargis, Bobby (Carol) Hargis, and Mary (Don Spratlin) Hargis, her grandchildren Elliott (Mackenzie) Rayens, Cruz (Calli) Murphy, Blake (Jessica Lee) Murphy, Nathan (Heather) Justice, Zack (Kassie) Justice, Hannah (Cody) Little, Paige (Jacob) Richards, Jacob (Caitie) Lamb, William Hargis, Marissa Hargis, Aiden Hargis, Jeremiah Hargis, Blaine Hargis, Leeann (Zack) Mason, Felicia (Josh Glass) Hargis, April Hargis, Holly (Jeremy) McCowan, Katie (Larry) Lyons, Robert (Kimberly) Hargis, and Teddy (Tea) Hargis, her great-grandchildren Maisie, Melody, Maisie, Charlotte, Isaiah, Sarai, Adelyn, Cooper, Raiden, Bellamy, Collins, Caedmon, Colby “Cheese,” Joseph, Evan, Payton, Kaitlyn, Aubrey, Harley, Harmony, MaKayla, Ava, Phoenix, Katie, Jaiden, Christine, Tahiry, Carmyne, and Brier her sister Darlene (Paul) Spencer and brother James (Pat) Pitts along with several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2026, held at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, also at Stith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Zack Justice, Elliott Rayens, Cruz Murphy, Blake Murphy, Tim Lamb, and Jacob Richards. Burial will be with her husband in Bellevue Cemetery

You were a blessing here on earth to everyone you met including your family and I am a better man because of all the time I spent in your house!!
