Valorie Wilson Caddell, 76, died peacefully on November 2, 2025. Born on May 2, 1949, in Crab Orchard to the late Ernest Curtis Wilson and the late Emogene Hester Harvey. Valorie lived a life filled with love, adventure, and an unwavering passion for treasure hunting. Whether it was exploring yard sales or antique shops, she had a unique talent for finding hidden gems and cherished keepsakes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack David Caddell, and her son, Glenn Caddell.

Valorie was a devoted mother to her children, Lisa Dunn, Ernest Griffitts, and Sherry Caddell. She took immense pride in being a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Tamara Douglas (Ronald Yeast), Nicholas Dunn, Shasta Dunn, Matthew Griffitts, Kayla (Wiley) Gambrel, and Zach (Chasity) Asberry, her great grandchildren Jace Johnson, Misty Griffitts, Shirley Griffitts, Matthew Griffitts, Jr., Elizabeth Caddell, Nevaeh Hamilton, Heaven Hamilton, Harper Gambrel, Brooklynn Gambrel, Bryson Asberry, Randy Asberry, Eva Taylynn Asberry, her siblings Stuart (Kathy) Wilson, Regena (Tony) Carney and Roseanne (Rod) Amburgy, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. A true animal lover, Valorie adored her beloved dog, Princess, who brought her constant joy and companionship.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Valorie will be laid to rest, where her family will honor her memory and celebrate her life. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery with her husband.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Boys Town.

  4. I was saddened to learn of Valorie’s passing. I met her when I started to high school at Crab Orchard. She was a font of information when it came to family history and history of Crab Orchard. She enjoyed and loved her family, friends and classmates. She always went above and beyond in planning are COHS reunions over the years and helped to make them enjoyable for us all. I will miss our long phone visits where we shared thoughts on everything. My condolences to all the family. May your precious memories, love, and faith give you strength during this time of loss and grief.
