Judy Boyd

Judith “Judy” Edwards Boyd, 76, died Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was born in Danville, Kentucky, on April 29, 1951, to the late Charles “Jinx” Ward and Fannie Jean Williams Edwards. Judy was a 1969 graduate of Boyle County High School. She loved spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur Franklin “Junie” Boyd, Jr., her brothers, Charles Davis Edwards, and Alan Edwards.

Judy was a dedicated employee at Steven’s Disposal for many years before Waste Management acquired it, and then she worked at Lowe’s for several years. She will be fondly remembered for her warm spirit, strong work ethic, and friendly demeanor.

Outside of her professional life, Judy had a profound love for animals, especially her cherished barn cats, who brought her much joy and companionship. Her nurturing nature extended not just to her pets but also to her family and friends, all of whom knew her as a kind and supportive presence in their lives.

Judy is survived by her nieces and nephews Kimberly Edwards (Eric) Downey, Amy Kristen Davis, Brian Keith (Donna) Walls and Jeffrey Scott (Stephanie) Walls her sister-in-law, Carolyn Sue Edwards; great nieces and nephews: Jared Downey, Abigail Downey, Nathanael Alan Davis, Johnathan Seth Davis, Chase Lanham, Angelica (Rodney) Maddox, Breanna (Jordan) Walls, Lindsey Walls, Logan Walls, Aubrey Walls, Chloe Walls, Kaylee Walls,; great-great nieces and nephews: Jeremiah Gage Smith, Wyatt Smith, Viola Walls, Ollee Smith, Brantley Walls and Marlee Walls.

Private family time was held.
