Carolyn Dean Phillips Denny, 80, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend, passed away on August 10, 2025. Born on July 30, 1945, in Danville, Kentucky, to the late Marvin and Bertie Lee Proctor Phillips. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of her hometown, where she was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for her family. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Alice King and Kenneth Phillips.

Carolyn was a proud graduate of Danville High School, Class of 1963. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to her family as a devoted homemaker, finding joy in creating a loving home. She had a passion for reading, a love for classic movies, and a green thumb that made her garden flourish. Carolyn cherished her role as a grandmother, attending every event for her grandchildren and encouraging their dreams and endeavors.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, since April 29, 1966, Gary Thomas “Tommy” Denny, her son, Parrish (Lisa) Denny, her grandchildren Olivia Denny, Ellery (Jacob) Hauser, and McClain Denny, her great-grandchild Flora Hauser, her brothers Randall Phillips and Timmy (Sharleen) Phillips, her nephew Jamie Phillips and other nieces and nephews, will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Private family services were held.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice.
