Vernon Gene James

Vernon Gene James, 62, of Danville died on January 3, 2025. Vernon was born on February 14, 1962, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Eugene and Ada Reynolds James.

Vernon was an esteemed business owner, operating Ultra Clean, a successful janitorial service that served many in the Danville area. His dedication to his work was only matched by his commitment to his faith, he was an active Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall. He embraced spirituality with passion, exemplifying kindness and service to others.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Vernon found joy in running, hiking, and camping, often spending weekends exploring the beauty of Kentucky’s state parks. He had a profound appreciation for classic rock music, which reflected his vibrant personality and zest for life.

Vernon is survived by his loving spouse, Sherry James, who will forever cherish their memories together, his brothers Gary (Carol) James and Phillip (Sheila) James, and his nephews Samuel James, Christopher James, and Matthew James.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.
