Robin Gedye

Robin Gedye, 72, of Springfield passed away November 26, 2020 Thanksgiving morning at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. A native of United Kingdom, he was born December 15, 1947. Son to John Brian Burnett Gedye and Betty Stewart Gedye nee Gibson. His father was a submariner in the Royal Navy during WWII then worked as an engineer which necessitated young Robin’s travel worldwide from India, North Africa to the Middle East. He was preceded in death by his wife Lenore. He is survived by his son Blake Case Allison Gedye of Woodford, Michigan. Prior to his retirement Robin worked at Akebono Brake Corporation in Elizabethtown. Robin was truly a man of great and various worldly talents which his friends all admired. He loved animals and at one time had a herd of alpaca show animals on his farm in Springfield. He loved his friends and his dogs Guapo, Lola, Molly and Freckles. The shooting sports, hunting and gardening occupied most of his time during his retirement. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time.
