John \"Paco\" S. Bandura

John Stanley “Paco” Bandura, 75, of Danville died Friday, August 23, 2019. Born in Streator, Illinois on July 5, 1944, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Martha Ann Handzus Bandura. He graduated from Streator High School and attended Southern Illinois University. Prior to joining RR Donnelley where he was a machinist operator for 40 years, he worked for the LeRay Roofing Co. in Streator. John is a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a long time Chicago Cubs fan, loved to fish for bass, listened to the Beatles and his greatest joy was spending time with his family and most of all his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Donna Baker Bandura; three sons, Bradley (Sandy) Bandura of Eubank, Scott (Teresa) Bandura of Danville and Kevin (Jennifer) Bandura of Stanford; a sister, Georgia (Tom) Wilkinson of Henry, Illinois and a brother, Danny (Nancy) Bandura of Streator, and four grandchildren, Hannah Bandura, Helen Bandura, Kaycie Bandura and Kade Bandura. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Father Alan Carter will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dave Moore, Moe Kelly, Kerry Howell, Greg Baker, Donnie Sallee, Chris Bandura, Greg Nycz and Tony Underwood. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Lincoln County High School Fishing Team in memory of John Bandura. Funeral: The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 117 W. Main Street, Danville, KY. Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 318 West Broadway, Danville, KY.

  1. I enjoyed many Gallatin Donnelley fishing tournaments and some great fishing trips with Paco. He was one of the best at what he did at work and always willing to help anyone. He was always positive , upbeat and just a joy to be around! He loved his family and it always showed – RIP my friend !
