William John McLean “Bill” of Danville KY, (for the past year and a half,) formerly of Levittown PA, died Friday April 5, 2019, due to complications from a severe heart attack suffered on March 30, 2019. Bill was 55 years old, and a 1981 Graduate of Neshaminy Maple Point High School.
Bill was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many. Bill loved coaching children’s softball, telling stories of his past, making people laugh, and an extreme animal lover. Always willing to put himself out there to those in need.
He started his career in the US Navy, as an Electronics Technician. After serving six years on a Destroyer, he was honorably discharged and ready to take on the world, working 32 years as a Nuclear Medicine Engineer & Imaging Specialist. Bill was regarded as one of the best in his field.
Born May 9, 1963 to Evelyn (Earl) McLean “Lynn” and the late John William Mclean. He is survived by his wife Carin Sue (Jimerson) Mclean for which he was married to for 33 years. Three children, Jennifer McLean and Fiancée Sean Cornine, of Bristol Pa, Andrea McLean of Levittown Pa, and John McLean of Danville KY. Also Kevin Wombacher of Morrisville Pa, whom Bill and Carin loved and cared for like their own son. One granddaughter, Addyson Cornine whom he cherished, and another on the way with Andrea McLean and Jaime Gonzalez.
Bill is also survived by his Mother, of Fort Pierce FL, three siblings, Michael McLean, (Jo Ann) of Danville KY, Karen McLean of Langhorne PA, and George McLean of Levittown PA. Four nieces, Mariah and Luke King, and Madison McLean of KY, and Kristina and Alyssa McLean of Langhorne. Mother and Father-in law MaryAnn and Ed Jimerson, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Joanne and Tim McDade, Edward and Pamela Jimerson Jr, and nephew Anthony Jimerson. Not forgetting the many friends, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Two remembrance services are to be held. The first service will be near his new hometown of Danville, KY, on Saturday April 13, 2019 at 11a.m. at Lancaster UMC, 200 Stanford Street, Lancaster KY 40444.
The PA service time and location TBD, but tentatively late May early June.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society or to an education fund which will be created for Bill’s 13-year-old son, John.
