William ‘Bill’ Gillis Woolum, 87, died October 21, 2021 in Danville, Kentucky. Born November 23, 1933. In Pineville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles Thomas and Elizabeth Frances Hendrickson Woolum. Bill was a graduate of Pineville High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University, He was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Bill loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird hunting and training dogs. Bill was an avid fan of UK Sports. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife, of 65 years, Barbara Lou Woolum; sister, June Hill; brother, Charles Woolum, and granddaughter Emily Woolum.

He is survived by his daughter Kristi (Kendall) Ray; his son Randy (Cindi) Woolum; sister, Joyce Fuson; grandchildren, Will Ray, Ben (Emily) Ray, and Amy Woolum; and his great-grandchildren, Grayson Ray, Nolan Ray, Emery Ray, and Owen Ray.

Public visitation will be held from 11 – 1 pm, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Funeral service will be private. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
