Robert Allen Mynear, 84, died Sunday, July 12, 2020.  He was born in Carlisle, KY to the late Teddie B. and Elsie Snapp Mynear on June 11, 1936.  Robert was a graduate of Kentucky School for the Deaf where he worked as a laundry technician until his retirement.    He was a member of the Kentucky School for the Deaf Alumni Association as well as the National Fraternal Society for the Deaf.  In addition to his parents Robert was predeceased by his brothers James B. and Walter D. Mynear.

Robert is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Mynear, children; Allen Douglas (Melanie) Mynear, Clifford Robert (Teresa Burnette) Mynear, and Patsy Devanna (Cletus) Smith, grandchildren; Trista Amber Mynear, Nikia Jean (Deuce) Jones, Rachel Olivia (Jake) Ohlhausen, Gregory Allen Mynear, Kelsey Jo (Drew) Edwards, and Hagan Seth Smith, great grandchildren; Serenity Mynear, Douglas Mason, Aryiah Mason, Keveon Mason, and Zain Raglin, and sister Ruth Lillie and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 11 am, Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.  Bill Denk and Bobby Sylvia will officiate.  The funeral service will be livestreamed on Stith Funeral Home’s Facebook page.  Burial will be at Bellevue Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Gregory Mynear, Hagan Smith, Drew Nusbaum, Pat McCullum, Ron McMaine, and Ben McMaine.  Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Richardson, Dorse King, Billy Gulley, and Gene Hoffman. Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.  Jack Williamson and Joe Buschman will conduct a COF Ritual at 7:30 during visitation.  Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice or to KSDCFI Jacobs Hall Museum.  The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
