Phyllis Darlene Rountree, 71, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Hardin County. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 6, 1946. Phyllis, along with her husband Shelby Rountree, owned and managed Rountree New & Used Furniture Store & FleaMarket in Shepherdsville, KY, and was a homemaker after they sold store and retired. She enjoyed collecting Dolls, and loved her animals. Phyllis loved her family.

She is survived by her husband, Shelby Rountree of Brandenburg, KY; her mother, Jewell Turner of Danville, KY; a son, John (Alisa) Clements of Ooltewah, TN; two daughters, Pam (Jeff Lucas) Young of Nonesuch, KY, Teresa Clements of Danville, KY; five grandchildren, Sarah Cheatham, John Clements, Tim Whittaker, Tabitha Patel, Kasey Young; six great-grandchildren, Ethan Cheatham, Aiden Cheatham, Kaedyn Whittaker, Riley Whittaker, Isabella Boarman, and Araya Patel.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, October 31, 2017, Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Rev. Tom Lane will officiate. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
