Philip Tod Burton, 83, died January 12, 2019. He was born to Glendon P. and Mildred Ann Cross Burton on February 14, 1935. Philip obtained a degree from West Virginia University Institute of Technology. He was employed as a supervisor for North American Phillips. Philip loved spending time with his family and working with his model trains. He was a member of the KY Steam Heritage Corp. Philip was predeceased by his wife Doris Arlene Smith Burton.

He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Sue Jones of Livermore and his son Timothy Mark (Leslie) Burton; his sister Ann (John) Sutliff of Amhurst, MA; grandchildren, Lauren Nicole Burton and Matthew Derek (Annalee) Burton; and great grandchild Patton Alexander Burton.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday,  January 18, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Dr. Robert Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m – 1 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Memorial donations are suggested to KY Steam Heritage Corp.
