Elizabeth Pearl Green, 72, of Danville died Friday, March 13, 2020. Born in Casey County on August 19, 1947, she is the daughter of the late Alvie Lester and Mary Lena King Green. She graduated from high school and spent her work life at three companies, Genesco, Thom McCann and Redwing Shoe Companies concluding as an inspector in quality control. She later worked part time at McDowell Place as a caregiver. Prior to moving to Danville, Pearl lived across the Forkland Creek for over forty years, behind the Pleasant Run Baptist Church, of which she was a lifelong member. She loved her Church and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If Pearl hadn’t seen you in a while, pretty soon the point of whether you were going to church would come up. If you weren’t going, she would give you that look and say you need to be in church. Her church family will miss her. Pearl never met a stranger, and it didn’t take long for the conversation to feel like you had known each other your whole life. Pearl struggled for many years with health issues and numerous surgeries. But in the last few years it seemed to be a never-ending battle. Pearl was tired. That’s when God reached down and whispered it’s time to come home. In addition to her parents, Lester and Mary Green she was predeceased by a brother Ralph Green.

She is survived by her sister, Elsie (Al) Hough of Danville, two uncles, Arnold (Barbara) King and Donnie (Judy) King both of Parksville and many cousins.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. JR Fields and Rev. Jeff Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in the Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dud Releford, Derrick Releford, Chris Skinner, Gary Caldwell, James Rogers and Kuestin K-Aki. Memorial donations are suggested to Pleasant Run Baptist Church.
