What a wonderful, Godly man! When Jesus got hold of him, He did a wonderful work! He had a colorful past and I enjoyed hearing about his experiences in D. C.! He was a fellow Optimist Club member and was a part of the ministry at First Baptist Church, Martin, TN. I vividly recall asking him to portray Joseph in a Christmas Cantata one time! A beautiful speaking voice and great actor, he nailed it, even though he was in his mid-fifties at the time! He made his own trout flies and gave me a couple one time. I still have them! He was also the Master of Ceremonies for the "Optimist's View of the Stars" show for several years. I considered him a great friend and he was a precious brother in Christ! Our deepest sympathy is extended to his sweet wife, Talitha and her family! Rev. Elwood Doss, Jr.

Vickie and I were sadden to hear of Paul's passing. Paul and I shared several fishing trips to Clarks Creek in East Tennessee and as well as water conservation efforts with the Overmountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Paul was always helpful and shared his vast knowledge of communications. Of particular note is his co-producing and narrating the Chapter's history in a video in 1999. Vickie reminded me of the times when Paul would come to our house to pick me up for a fishing day and he would always have a treat for our dog Gracie. We will miss our chats with Paul and we send our best to Elizabeth and family in this of difficult time. Paul and I always enjoyed talking about our Navy experiences. Fair winds and following seas shipmate. Ken and Vickie

Paul was a great friend and fellow Optimus club member while he taught at the University of Tennessee Martin. He was one of my favorite people, and I know he’s probably playing golf in heaven.
