Patricia ‘Tootie’ Upton Coffman, 73, died Monday, January 20, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born March 3, 1946 in Somerset to the late John Richard and Bessie Myrtle Cheatham Upton. Tootie was a 1964 graduate of Boyle County High School. She was co-owner of Coffman’s Trophy Supply & Mini Mall, she also was a bookkeeper at Edward’s & Webb. Tootie loved the UK Wildcats, watching red birds and working in her flower garden. She was a loving wife and mother, but she loved her grandkids. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one brother, JC Upton and one sister, Elsie High.

She is survived by her husband, William Archie Coffman, Jr.; a daughter, Petrina Ann Coffman (James Roy) Pope; a son William Archie (Julie Tamme-Coffman) Coffman, III; two grandchildren, James Joseph Coffman (Jessica Doster) Pope and Sara Ann Elizabeth Pope; two brothers, Leonard ‘Lennie’ Upton and Harold (Joyce) Upton and one sister, LoJuanna Antle.

The funeral service will be 2 pm, January 24, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Barry Harmon will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bruce Coffman, Todd Coffman, Jacob High, Jerry High III, Joseph Coffman Pope, Hunter Anderson, Eli Anderson and James Roy Pope. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim McGirr, Pete Wise, Earl “Tidlums” Baker, John Ison, Rick Slaughter, Milton Lefevers, Eddie Moore, Walter Thornton and all her nephews. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 pm, Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Memorial donations are suggested to American Diabetes Association or Junction City Elementary Resource Center.
