Patricia Ann Boyd, 84, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023. She was born in Harrodsburg, Kentucky on August 23, 1938, to the late John Clinton and Margaret Gordon Woodard. Patricia was a 1963 graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master of Arts degree in education. She completed her rank one in math at the University of Kentucky. Patty went on to become a teacher for the Danville Independent Schools where she retired after 24 years. She was an avid University of Kentucky sports fan, especially basketball. Patty loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers Clinton Woodard and John “Pistol” Woodard.

Patricia is survived by her children, Chris Boyd of Birmingham, AL and Lisa Boyd of Lexington, KY; brothers, Gordon “Gordy” (Beverly) Woodard and Harry “Butch” (Jan) Woodard, both of Harrodsburg, KY; and sisters, Sara (the late Bill) Sims of Harrodsburg, KY and Margaret Lucille “Margie Lu” Fenton of Centerburg, OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Audubon Society and the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.

Gathering of Friends will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
