Melvin Anthony “Tony” Young, 59, died December 11, 2022, at his residence. He was born February 19, 1963, to Delores “Tiny” Young and the late Melvin Young. Tony was a mechanical electrician. He loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a people person who always wanted to be with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Young. He is survived by his sons, Jacob (Morgan) Young and Cody Young; his bonus children, Rhyann Anderson and Kacey Hart; his grandchild, Skylar Young; his brother, Stephen (Pam) Young; his sisters, Ruth (Rex) Wilkes and Sherri (Tom) Edwards; his nephews, Devan (Amelia) Hale, Nathan (Meaghan) Young, and Bradley (Ashley) Yates; his great-niece, Miela Yates; and his great-nephew, Chase Yates.

The visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City, Kentucky. The funeral mass will be 12 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Alan Finley, Marty Robinson, Tom Edwards, Cody Phillips, Jeff McDonald, and Shane West. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Catholic charities through St. Peter and Paul of Danville, KY. The online guestbook and Hugs From Home are available at www.stithcares.com.
