Mazie Loraine Key Patterson, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Born November 2, 1925 to the late Joe Bailey and Beulah Roney Key in Perryville, KY (Boyle County). Mazie graduated from Danville High School in 1945 and attended business school at Lafayette Vocational Technology School. She was employed by Spoonamore Rexall Drug and later Western Kentucky Gas Company where she retired in 1988.

She enjoyed her retirement years traveling, spending time with her grandkids, playing cards with friends, gardening, reading, volunteering at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. Mazie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Danville, KY, where she faithfully served on the Culinary Committee, and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She is survived by her son Carl Gordon Patterson Jr. (Joyce). Grandchildren Jennifer Patterson Beecher, Andrew Patterson (Karen), CG Patterson (Melanie), Carrie Patterson (Michael Richards), and Daniel Patterson (Amanda Underhill). Great- Grandchildren Jakob, Clara; Corey, Ainsley, Noah; Gracie; and Maeve. Sisters Irma Key Clancy and Ruth Key Brackett, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her sweet heart. Mazie was preceded in death by a son Mitchel Wayne Patterson, Grandson Todd Osborne, brothers Howard and Marion, sisters Maxine, Evelyn, Juanita, and Roselle.
