Mary Frances Leigh Terhune Vest, 81, of Danville, died on Friday, October 11, 2019 in Hilton Head, SC. Born on August 1, 1938 in Danville to the late William and Mary McAlister Leigh. She was the widow of Truman Terhune and Oscar Vest. Mary Frances was a graduate of Danville High School and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She worked as the business manager for many years with Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, Anesthesia Associates Inc., Danville and Danville Interventional Pain. She loved working in the medical field and helping others. Mary Frances was named an honorary board member at National College of Business because of her contributions to help the students. She was a member of the Boyle Co. Fair Board and supervised the horse shows and food booths. She was a former member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Danville. She loved to cook and cater events, gardening and spending time with her family on the lake. She is predeceased by her son, Matthew Cheatham and her granddaughter, Brooke Budde.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth Terhune Budde of Danville and her son, Brad (Melanie) Terhune of Hilton Head, SC; two sisters, Amelia (Jim) Goode of Hustonville and Betty Goode of Crab Orchard; a brother, Robert (the late Brenda) Leigh of Brandon, FL; four grandchildren, Landon Terhune, Lawson Terhune; Kyle Budde, Merideth Budde and one great-granddaughter, Emmie Terhune.
Mary Frances’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life service with be from 3-5 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com
