Martha Jo Dievert Bonta, 75, died Friday, March 2, 2018.  Born in Enid, Oklahoma on July 27, 1942, she is the daughter of Clara Bell Morris Dievert and the late Floyd Dale Dievert.  She retired as the Business Manager at The Blood-Horse Magazine after 36 years.  She was a member of the Laureate Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi since 1967.  She is a graduate of  Camp Dick Robinson High School.  Martha Jo was an avid reader who loved flowers, chocolate and her grandkids and will always be remembered for her Derby parties.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ray Bonta of Danville, two sons, James Dale (Angie) Bonta of Danville and Todd (Candace) Bonta of Edgewood, two grandsons, Nicholas and Nolan Bonta;  a sister, Shirley Dievert and a brother, Tim (Margie) Dievert and three sisters-in-law, Sue Bonta Demaras, Marilyn Bonta, Flora Bonta and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church.   Rev. Chris Brummett will officiate.  Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be James Dale Bonta, Rick Carter, Gary Chidester, Clay Bonta, Steve Ralston, Reed Dievert and Ed Allison.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Jarboe and Don Hopper.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.  Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
