Mark Kevin Hinkle, 62, of Monticello, Kentucky, died on January 7, 2023. He was born in Covington, KY, to the late Jack and Thelma Johnson Hinkle. Mark retired in 2020 from General Electric Aviation as a jet engine technician. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served with the 527th Aggressor Squadron in Alconbury, England. Mark loved Jesus and was known for his compassion, work ethic, and generosity, always helping those in need. Upon retirement, he moved to Monticello and fulfilled his dream of living by the lake. He loved people, fishing, boating, and just being on the water. Mark is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Sowders. Survivors include his sons, Jake (Kaylyn) Hinkle, Travis (Kansas) Hinkle, and Rick Lambert, daughter Taran Lambert, sister Marcia (Danny) Driskell, his grandchildren, Gideon, Norah, Joey, and Calli, and brother-in-law, Jerry Sowders. He is also survived by lifelong friends Doug Nichols and Ronnie Davis, among several other friends and neighbors who were dear to him.
