Mario Ernest Camargo, 96, died at his home on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Born in Colombia, South America on September 21, 1923, he is the son of Cecilia Pinzon and Mario Camargo Sr. He spent his life working in International Sales. Mario’s family was his whole world. He adored them and wanted to spend all his time with them. He is a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Veronica “Ronnie” Camargo, four daughters, Jeanne (Al) Dodak of Lexington, Elizabeth “Betty” (Randy) Faulx of Danville, Catherine (Debbie) Camargo of Albuquerque, NM. and Irene Camargo (the late Mark Morgan) of Lexington, five sons, Martin (Sandy) Camargo of Urbana, Ill., Thomas (Anne) Camargo of Albany, Ky., William (Miriam) Camargo of Franklin, Tenn, Joseph (Mary) Camargo of Livermore, Ca., and Francis (Crystal) Collins-Camargo of Boston, Ky.; ten grandchildren: Hannah Raya, Jay Faulx, David Faulx, Alyssa Camargo, Jenna Camargo, Lauren Camargo, Casey Camargo, Will Camargo, Matt Camargo and Catherine Camargo: four great-grandchildren, Hannah Faulx, Abbi Faulx, Maria Camargo and Hayden Vaughn; two sisters, Cecilia Monturo of Poughkeepsie, New York and Alicia Miller of Tallahassee, Florida; and one sister-in-law, Jackie Camargo of Ozark, Missouri.

Mario’s choice was to be cremated and be buried in Bellevue Cemetery. The funeral mass for Mario and Veronica will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 16th, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The online guestbook and our Hugs From Home instructions are available at www.stithcares.com.
