Marie Case Crain, 93, died January 3, 2022, in Danville, Kentucky. Born December 22, 1928, in Danville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Frances Combs Case. Marie loved crocheting, sewing, and reading and watching UK basketball. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her family, and loved her cat. Marie was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Kyle, one brother and four sisters.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Linda Crain, Brenda Burton (Glenn), and Teresa Hunt; grandchildren, James Netherland III (Maureen), Donna Bownds (Brian), Capt. Stephen Netherland (Gerry Lynn), Connie Sue Burton Lacy, Damon Hilbert (Katey), John Shannon Burton (Shelly), Elizabeth Gangal (Sanjay), and James Edward Hunt (Brenda Fay); twenty-two great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

Public visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Rev. Kyle Stachewicz will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Netherland III, Damon Hilbert, Glenn Burton, Sanjay Gangal, Donna Bownds, and Elizabeth Gangal. Honorary pallbearers will be the Open Door Sunday School Class, James Edward Hunt, Joe Gipson, Jerry Pollard. The Lexington Avenue Quartet will sing.
