Larry Joe Bowling, 74, died March 22, 2021 in Danville. Born July 12, 1946 in Clarksville Indiana, he was the son of the late Paul Edwin and Vina Cochran Bowling. He served in the United States Navy, then began his career with Kentucky Utilities as a draftsman, after 35 years he retired as a Senior Engineering Assistant. Larry Joe loved watching his grandchildren play sports, spending time camping and fishing with his family. He was a member of the Kentucky Bass Club. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Larry Joe will be remembered for his warm smile.

He is survived by his wife Gail Berry Bowling; three sons Michael (Linda) Bowling, Mathew (Becky) Bowling, and Mark (Melanie) Bowling and five grandchildren Keely, Easton, Mason, Reece and Madison. two brothers Paul M. Bowling and Freddie (Janice) Bowling.

Funeral service will be at 1 pm Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Danville with burial in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Bowling, Mathew Bowling, Mark Bowling, Jack Jones, LeeRoy Fowler, and John Hignight. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at Stith Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Wounded Warriors Project. Please sign the guestbook or send a Hug from Home.
