Kenneth Wayne Adams, son of Louisia Adams and Robert (Rose) Frye, was born in Danville, KY on December 21, 1973. Kenneth transitioned suddenly on Friday, April 21, 2023, after a short illness.

Kenneth was a firm believer in Christ. He was a 1991 graduate of Danville High School and later The University of Kentucky briefly. Kenneth worked as a Service Technician for Don Jacobs Honda Service for the past 27 ½ years.

“Kenny” as he was affectionately known, was called Mr. ESPN by some of his friends because there wasn’t a sports stat he didn’t know, whether it be football, basketball, baseball, track field, golf, etc. Kenny was a big fan of the University of Kentucky, Florida State (football), and Dallas Cowboys and often traveled to their games. Kenny enjoyed spending his free time at Malibu Pub and Grill and highly recommended their wings. He and his family enjoyed many “family nights” at Comedy Off Broadway in Lexington, KY.

Kenny never met a stranger and would talk to every person in the room. Everyone he met loved him.

Surviving Kenny are his loving parents; his brother Jalen Daugherty, Danville, KY; sisters Bridget Frye, Danville, KY, Ashley Frye, Lancaster, KY, and stepsister Emisha Coulter; three aunts, Andrea Martin, Janice (Cedric) Leavell, and Valerie Frye; two uncles, Charles (Ann) Farley and Louis Adams Jr. Kenny also had a special friend Ginger Weissinger, nieces Nautik, MaCee, and Raelynn, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday at St. James A.M.E. Church, Pastor Ralph Boyd Smith will be the officiant. Visitation will be 11 a.m., Thursday until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Sleet, Randy Turley, Phill Clough, Phillip Green, Adam Weissinger, Djuan Frye, and Jason Phillips.
