Kenneth John Nelson, 95, died on December 6, 2023 at his home.  He was born on September 18, 1928, to the late Axel and Lydia Nelson in Osakis, Minnesota.  Kenn was an engineer, a trade he learned through “on the job training.”  Whether it was building beautiful furniture or remodeling a house, he always had a project.  Kenn loved to hunt, especially deer, ride horses, and play cribbage.  He was an avid grower of tomatoes.   When Kenn was not working on one of his many projects he could be found on his boat on Green River.  In addition to his parents, Kenn was predeceased by his first wife Joyce, son, Kim, daugther, Vicki, and sisters Donna Green and Judy Hubbard.

Kenn is survived by his wife and soulmate Aase, son James (Ellen) Todd, daughters; Tara Nelson, Melodi (Mark) Nelson, and Lisamalayne (Steve) Benson, grandchildren; Jonathan (Rebecca), Devon (Stephen), Andy (Denise), Corey, Jeffrey, Rachel, Lilly (Brian), Celina (Johnathan), Brandon (Brooklyn), Emma (David), Ryan (Lindsey), Alycia (Kevin), Blake, Jessica (Kenny), Matthew (Rachel), and Kiersten, great-grandchildren; Owen, Ella, Piper, Amaya, Eliana, Matilda, Matthew, Zaria, Gabriella, Levi, and Tillia, brother, Roger (Marlene) Nelson, sisters, Darlene (Dell) Green, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Centenary Methodist Church.  Bro. Bryan Shofner will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm at the church.  Memorial donations may be made to Heritage Hospice Inc.  An online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
