Judy Perry Ross, 76, of Danville, died Thursday, November 5, 2020. Born October 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Robert and Emma Durham Hill Perry. She was the former owner of the Danville Christian Bookstore, former employee at Southern States and currently employed at Inter-County Energy. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and a 1963 Danville High School Graduate. She was known for winning several Gingerbread House contests for CASA of Lexington, she loved sewing and quilting. She made each female in the Perry family an apron. She made 300 masks that were donated to those in need in Kentucky and Tennessee. She volunteered for the United Way Day of Caring and the March of Dimes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Alan Perry Ross; siblings Shirley Perry Brooks, John (Sue) Perry, Robert Perry, Bill (June) Perry, Ruth (Woody) Adams.
She is survived by her daughter Tracy Harr (Dr. David Harr) of Brentwood, Tenn., grandchildren Hudson and Emma Harr; brothers Charlie (Vickie) Perry of Danville, KY, Jim “Bo” (Patsy) Perry of Palm Harbor, Fla.; sisters, Alice (Bobby Wayne) Miller, Nancy (Homer) Vanover both of Danville, Emogene (the late Jim) Spear of Louisville, KY, Mary (the late Al) Brandenburg of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-law Ruth Perry; brother-in-law, Bill Brooks and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 4 p.m., Sunday November 8, 2020 at Grace Presbyterian. Pastor Shane Terrell will officiate. Pallbearers will be David Harr, Brad Miller, Jacob Rogers, Jeremy VanMeter, Bobby Spear, Jess Correll, Angela Correll and Robbie Wiley. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Perry, Stephen Perry, Derek Perry, Jack Bosley, Jack Miller, Hudson Harr, Emma Harr and Maci Christison. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
