Juanita Jewell Hilton Stratton, 88, of Danville, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home. Born September 19, 1929 in Mackville, Ky., she is the daughter of the late Johnny and Allene Bugg Hilton. Juanita was the widow of Edward Garland Stratton. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved taking day trips and visiting interesting places. She was always working at her home, cleaning and cooking and she loved to fish. She fed the birds and had about fifteen birdfeeders in her yard and read, everyday, especially the newspaper. Juanita was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Mildred Hays, Corene Butler, Betty Rose Mullins, Billy Hilton, K.B. “Dick” Hilton and Kenneth Dewayne Hilton.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kay Stratton (Lonnie Wilson, fiance’) of Danville; many nieces and nephews and her caregivers, Debbie Caldwell and Betty Hill.

There will be a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Bellevue Cemetery. Rev. Stacy Wilson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Wilson, Derek Wilson, Brad Coomer, Hollis Carrier, Bill Hill and Dennis Ellingsworth. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday prior to the service at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. The family suggests that memorial donations be sent to Heritage Hospice or WDFB Radio Station.
